To our patients,

The challenges of the past six months have been hard on us all. We hope this letter finds you well and adjusting to the new norms for now. Kids are back in school, whether virtual or brick and mortar, more businesses are opening and the Covid virus numbers seem to be steadying. At least we are not in the crisis mode we saw earlier in the year. If you or any family member have or had the virus, we are truly sorry and wish you and yours a quick recovery. If you have lost a family member or friend, we send our sincere condolences. This is new territory for us all, and we are coping best we can.

We wanted to touch base with you regarding office operations. We are up and running as best we can continuing to follow the state of Virginia guidelines. We wear personal protection coverings as required, there are touchless hand sanitizers at the front desk, we screen ALL patients and take temperatures upon arriving, we exercise social distancing in the waiting areas (we have two separate sections), we sanitize and disinfect frequently throughout the day, and we will soon have a shield up when you check in.

We have several new additions to our staff and sadly have said goodbye to some familiar faces you may have known. We wish Yadira, a long time hygienist, the best on future endeavors. However, she fills in for us from time to time. Renee, our lead assistant on both the clinical and orthodontic side, has found it necessary to relocate for now and take care of her mother. We will miss them both. We have a new part-time hygienist, Kim, who comes to us with over 30 years of experience. On Saturdays we have Tiffany(now full time) and Phan, both hygienists, and AnnaClaire as an orthodontic assistant. Familiar faces that remain are Sady, our friendly and gentle dental assistant, and at the front desk, Katia and Ana. So you can see we have been busy reorganizing and keeping the practice up and running.

You may have recently received automated notices that you are due for a checkup and cleaning. With a full staff, we can accommodate our patients quickly. We are open Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and two Saturdays a month. Please call to schedule now as times will fill up soon. Remember, optimal dental health is key to our overall physical health. Please know that you are perfectly safe in our dental environment as we follow ALL protocols to protect you. You are in good hands at Family First.

A quick reminder. With October fast approaching in a few days, it is now time to consider scheduling any proposed treatment for dentistry, whether fillings, crowns, bridges etc. This is in consideration of insurance benefits. With Covid, many of you have not had the opportunity to use what you've paid for. Be sure to get all the money that is coming to you for use at the dental office! Schedule now, so we can get the ball rolling on any necessary treatment you might have put off in the early part of the year.
