For years I would put off any kind of dental work because of my phobia of dentists. The dentist I went to see as a child was the cause of this phobia. I had extreme anxiety at just the thought of walking through the office door.

My fear of the dentist is no more thanks to the sedation dentistry of Dr. Ron Buro and his associates. They made me feel welcome and calm, explaining every procedure that I needed and what to expect from start to finish. I don't remember anything about the procedure performed while sitting in the dental chair nor did I feel anything. Dr. Buro even called me at home hours after my first procedure to see how I was feeling.

It was the fact that Dr. Ronald Buro D.D.S. and associates were local, performed sedation dentistry and that my daughter recommended him that I made my initial appointment. It was the understanding, caring and kindness of everyone there that I have made them our family dentist. I have recomended Dr. Buro to all my friends and family. I am Jo Cosola . I started getting sore gums and they bleed but I have always been afraid of going to the dentist until I found Family First Dental Center. With their care my gums are now healthy. I then decided to get upper dentures, everything in detail was explained to me the staff is excellent that way. I felt no pain with the methods they used. Dr.Buro worked on my upper plate with great care and concern making sure all my fears were put to rest. I received my dentures today and they are FABULOUS. THEY MAKE ME LOOK 10 YEARS YOUNGER. They are perfect!!! We all laughed and smiled in the office and I left feeling like a million dollars! that's how you are treated at Family First Dental. My problem started out with having an infection in a front tooth. Dr. Buro checked it out and recommended an oral surgeon. I had the tooth pulled and from there we decided to pull the rest of the lower teeth and put implants in It was extensive work.
Through all of this Dr. Buro and staff have been extraordinary in not only the dental work but in getting me through all of the adjustments. Dr. Buro was patient and caring and explained everything to me as we progressed with the work. I would be happy to recommend him to anyone who needs work done. He definitely has given me a whole new outlook on dentists.

I asked my realtor where she and her children went to the dentist and she said Family First Dental Center. So, I went. The people and atmosphere are great. They are happy and caring and just make going to the dentist so pleasant. They performed thorough exams, on time, and knew what they were doing. Being a former marine, I noticed they had a great team and accomplished the mission of identifying the problem and taking care of it immediately. I will be bringing my wife and kids here. I really did not have an appointment, but stopped in for information for an oral surgeon. they kindly took an x-ray because I was not healing from the prior Dentist I went for an extraction. they thought they still seen something left in the root of the wisdom tooth but was not sure, they gave me a referral to Potomac Dental Arts which I appreciated very much. I think the practice has improved substantially over the past couple of years, particularly in staffing, appointment convenience and the electronic appointment functions such as reminders, confirmation, etc. The staff is always very professional, welcoming and friendly. The only other suggestion would be to add electronic patient statements and payment options, unless you already have them and I just haven't noticed yet!
