Monica Yavrom, D.D.S.

Dr. Monica Yavrom grew up in the Rio Grande Valley in South Texas near the Mexico border.  Being from South Texas, Dr. Yavrom is fluent in Spanish. After graduating from high school, she moved to San Antonio, Texas where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at San Antonio.   Possessing a passion for learning, she was excited to move to Washington, D.C. to earn her Masters of Public Health degree from The George Washington University.  During her education, she focused her studies on global and domestic health issues and the connection between oral health and a person’s overall health.  Dr. Yavrom received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Texas A&M Health Science Center, Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas.  She continued her dental training by completing a residency program in Advanced Education in General Dentistry.

Dr. Yavrom has been active in the community by participating in dental mission trips and clinics.  She is a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.  She enjoys working and interacting with patients, educating them about their oral health and dental needs, and providing quality dental care.

Dr. Yavrom currently resides in Virginia with her husband and rescued Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix Penny.  During her spare time she enjoys watching independent films, traveling and learning about different cultures, trying new ethnic foods, cooking, reading novels, playing guitar, exercising and yoga.
